Mr Galbraith (Labor), was returned unopposed ns representative for MidDurham (states a London cablegram). Mr George Stephenson, the wellknown theatrical manager, leaves I'm Sydney to-day. Mr Stephenson lias made arrangements with Mr Frank Barton, of Barton’s Circus, to introduce an original Maori troupe to the Australian public. Mr H. L. Honnwi, who for the past couple of years has been attached to the commercial staff of the “Stratford Post,” has resigned to take up the teaching profession again, having received an appointment under the Taranaki Education Board as master ot the Dudley Road School. The Senior Scholarships for the year 191,1 have been awarded to the following:—Victoria College: N. C. B. Allen, L. .1. Pilkington; Auckland f uiversity: B. M. Bell, L. J. Connie, L. Matheson, A. C.
