THE CANADIAN CASUALTIES. Cnited Pekbh Association. Ottawa. April 27. Recruiting officers are overwhelmed with applications from officers. The Canadian casualties on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday include twenty-one officers killed, including three colonels, and fifty-nine wounded. DERNBERC TAUNTS THE ALLIES. Heir Dernberg, in an interview in New York, declared that the Allies were unable to compel the Germans to evacuate Belgium and France, except on their own terms, which are. freedom of the seas, and liberty to expand outside Europe. It was the scarcity of ammunition which lost Germany the Maine Battle, but now they were fully supplied and prepared for any emergency.
