There were great rejoicings in Beilin at the victory in Flanders. -Newspapers contain fresh violent outbursts against America in connection with Air Bryan’s reply. Details of the treatment of German prisoners in France s|iow that they have remarkable comforts and plenteous food. vy) The newspapers contain glowing tributes to the Canadians’ marvellous dash. GERMANS CLAIM SUCCESS. Amsterdam. April 25. Qn Thursday and Friday nights many train loads of German dead arrived at Hasselt. The civilians were compelled to bury them. Twenty-five thousand German wounded have reached Liege. Most of the business places have been transformefllnto hospitals. The Germans officially claim that they have beaten off the Allies’ attack from Ypres to Bixshoote and have captured 2470 prisoners and many rifles and machine-guns.
