NEWTON KING’S REPORT.

At Awakiuo on Thursday, 15th inst., both .cattle and sheep came forward up to'advertised numbers, with the exception of 3J- .year bullocks, these being unable to get across the river owing .to heavy rains. I was, however, able to sell them privately, and so made a full clearance -of both cattle and sheep. It has been decided to hold spring sales at the Awakiuo yards in the future. Settlers will lie notified as to the date later in the year.

At Okau on Friday, 16tlrinst., I had a hue yarding of cattle and a good entry of sheep. There was a good attendance of the public.
