PRICE OF FOODSTUFFS.
CHARGES AGAINST THE COMMISSION. Per Press/ Association. Christchurch-, April 22. Mr Andrew Fairhaijn, merchant, has sent to the local newspapers a j copy of his evidence erven before the 1 Food and Prices Commission. He 1 r says: If the evidence is true, the 1 finding of the Coin mission is unwarranted-; if the evidence is false, 1 should be prosecuted for perjury.” l He says Mr M-ssey has asked the Commission to investigate the alleged cases of exploitation, and he is prepared to substantiate on oath everycharge in the evidence, provided it is not censored and open to the public and the press.
