HOCKEY.

Auckland Hockey Association decided to-night, in view of the present crisis, to play no representative matches this year, and to discourage pleasure touring and shield hunting. Members recognised that the wai must come first and sport second, hut for those left behind it was decided to permit matches to go on as usual so far as club competitions are concerned.
