The Daily News’ Rome correspondent states that Italy’s neutrality must expire before May 12, when Parliament opens, though the date for intervention is still unfixed. Negotiations now proceeding with the Allies will he concluded when De Giors, the new Russian Ambassador, arrives at Rome. Other telegrams state Italy is desirous that Austria should send an ultimatum regarding military measures on the frontier, which will be her best pretext for abandoning neutrality.
