Per Press Association. Napier, April 21. An inquest concerning the death ot Walter Albert West, who died in March sth as the result of bullet wounds inflicted by Alice Parkinson in a shooting affray at Napier south, was held to-day, .Miss Parkinson, wly) attempted to take her own lile. haring only just recovered sufficiently to give evidence. The statements of witness went to show that deceased and Parkinson had been on terms of intimacy. The woman met deceased on the evening of March 2nd, and they went into a vacant section, shots being heard immediately afterwards. West never recovered consciousness. The coroner returned a verdict that West died as the result of wounds intentionally inflicted hy Alice Parkinson by moans of a revolver. Miss Parkinson was then charged with murder, and remanded till .Monday.
