The Corinna loaded some 4500 tons of cheese yesterday, and sailed for Wellington. On her next trip the Corinna leaves Oamaru on April 23, Dunedin April 24, and Timaru April 26, for Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth.

The Poherua leaves Wellington for New Plymouth to-day, and on arrival here to-morrow will discharge cargo from Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelfcon, and Wellington. From here the Poherua will proceed to-Westport and Greymouth. The Mapourika will leave Wellington at 5 p.m. to-morrow for New Plymouth, arriving here on Thursday. After discharging her cargo the Mapourika will sail for Westport.

The Shaw Saville liner Arawa will he the next Home steamer to load at VVaitara. The Arawa is now discharging at Australian ports, and Waitara will be the first port of call in New Zealand, thence Lyttelton, Gisborne, and Wellington. She will sail for London on May 12.

The Secretary for Marine telegraphed the Collector of Customs last night asking him to notify the shipmasters that the Napier Bluff light, which will he shown on and after Wednesday next, will show one and a half seconds' light and eight and a half seconds darkness, instead of the periods mentioned in the notice to marines previously issued.
