BREAD OR PEACE! RENEWED FOOD RIOTS IN AUSTRIA. MOBS GET OUT OF HAND. United Pbbbs Asrooiatioh. (Received 9.10 a.m.) Vienna, April 19. There have been renewed food disturbances in Trentino and Bohwia.' The inhabitants of Trieste demonstrated in the market places, and shouted: "Bread or peace!" ' The-Burgomaster appeared, promising a larger allowance of bread. Later, the mob attacked the military stores and stoned the police.
A mob at Peitmerutz destroyed one hundred wagonloads of flour which was intended for the military.
