A BAVARIAN'S HATE.
NO PARDON TO AN ENGLISHMAN.
A letter has been received in England irom a Bavarian otueer, who before die war was a doctor in Munich, it is written irom "position between Souaiu i (.TtJies,. near to itenns, Jaruary M, i\)id," 1 lie Englisli of it is curious, out the sentiments are clear aim welldefined, especially the feeling oi hate towards England, a.s the following extracts shows. It sliould be noted that the letter is to an English friend: "Let me tell ywu our leelings against the different nations—for Belgiun and France, sympathy and admiration for their soldiers. They are brave fellows, and every prisoner is treated a.s well a;s possible, like one of our own. For Russia, Serbia, Montenegro, and all the other lot of lighters for civilization—dispise. One has to light against them like one fight.s against a disgusting animal. For England—hate and disgust. A hate I have never believed to lie possible. I have this hate, too. Not against —, not against you or any other English acquaintance But let me tell you. When I was in Belgium I told to my soldiers- five Irancs for a Beige prisonner, but live days' prison for an English prisonner, I have not given any pardon to an Englishman, and I sliould not have taken anv from them."
