DEATH AT WHANGA.
FARMER'S FATAL FALL OF FORTY FEET. A fatal accident occurred at Wliangamonona on Friday, the victim being Mr Trevor Marfeli, .second son of Mr ..Edward Marfeli, of Toko Road, and a well-known farmer in the district. Mr -Marfeli left his farm on Friday to visit a neighbour, and not having returned on Saturday morning fears were entertained for his safety, and a search was made. The horse ridden by Mr Marfeli was found near a bridge on a by-road, and his body was found under the bridge, deceased 'having fallen about forty feet. It is surmised that owing to the horse slipping or stumbling, Mr Marfell was thrown into the creek. The body was conveyed to Whangaiuomona where an inquest will be held to-day. Mr Trevor Marfeli was only twentynine years of age, and much esteemed by those who new him. Very great sympathy will be expressed throughout the district with Mr and Mrs E. Marfoil and family in their sad bereavement.
