Residents in the distict state that the Zeppelin followed a motor with big headlights in the direction of Burnham. ENEMY’S ACCOUNT OF THE RAID ON BRITAIN. United Phebh Association. Amsterdam, April 13. An official Berlin message states that naval airships successfully bombarded several defended towns on the east coast of Britain, and returned undamaged, despite heavy lire. ALLIED AVIATORS AGAIN ACTIVE. Paris, April IS. A British aeroplane brought down a German. Boesingbe. the pilot, was killed and the observer made a prisoner. A French dirigible bombarded the station and aviation sheds at Frei-burg-un-Breisget. FATE OF AUSTRIAN ZEPPELIN. London, April 17. The Exchange at Paris reports that an Austrian Zeppelin while manoeuvring fell into the Adriatic and was destroyed. The crew perished. FRENCH AVIATORS FIRE METZ. Paris, April 17. Official: Our aviators bombed a shell factory at Leopoldshoe and a magazine at Rothwell, causing an explosion. Forty bombs were dropped on the electrical station at Massieres, which supplies, the Metz forts with power and light, causing a large fire. All returned safely.
A REPORT FROM BERLIN. Berlin, April 17. A French airship dropped twelve bombs at Strattburg; two civilians were wounded, and some damage was done. German airmen bombed Greenwich, near London. FATAL DUEL IN THE Af~R. Paris, April 17. Garros went up immediately he saw the bomb-dropper at Messiues. He caught him up and jockeyed him for position. Finally he swooped down behind him, but reserved his lire until within thirty yards. He fired two shots and killed the pilot and observer; when the machine was dashed to the earth.
ENEMY’S AVIATION GROUND AT ROULERS BOMBED. (Received 8.45 a.m.) Paris, April 18. A commimiuqe says: A Belgian aeroplane brought down a German aeroplane at Roulers. Our aviators bombarded the aviation ground at Koulers. ELEVEN VICTIMS OF BOMBS IN AMIENS. (Received 9.1 U a.m.) Paris, April IS. A Taube dropped bombs In Amiens and secured eleven victims, including live women, one of whom was beheaded.
