WELLINGTON RACES. Per Press Association. Trentluuu, April 17. The Wellington Racing Chib’s Autumn Meeting concluded to-day at Treuthani. The weather is again line, and the attendance large. Results:—• Second Hack and Hunters’ Steeplechase, of 200sovs., two miles and ahalf.—The Pole 1, Grey Renown 2, Agatha Green 3. All started. Grey Renown led till the last fence, where he was overhauled by The Polo, who won by six lengths. Nita and Captain Flint lost their riders. Time, 5.27 4-5. Hutt Handicap, of 20056v5., one mile. —Belasco 1, Rene 2, Kaminohe 3. Scratched: Blackall. A great finish, (Belasco just lasting long enough to stall off Rene, winning by a head, three lengths between second and third.—-Time, linin 40sec. Muratai Handicap, of 150sovs., seven furlongs.—Haumakaka 1, Sylvan Dale 2, 1 Combustion 3. All started. 'Hie favorite drew out in the straight and won by a length, the same distance between second and third. Time, 1.28. Autumn Handicap, of oOOsovs., one mile and three-quarters.—Mummer 1, Coldstream 2, Rinaklo 3. Scratched; Banksia. From a bunched field, Mummer came to the front, and although challenged by Coldstream,won by adieatl, a neck between second and third The rest of the field was close up. Time, 2min 19 4-ssec. AVONDALE RACES. Per Press Association. Auckland, April 17. ■* The Avondale meeting is being concluded ,to-day in shoivery weather. The attendance is good and the course in fair order, in fair order. Results:— Waikumete Hurdles, of 17550v5., two miles.—Black "Northern‘l, Spalperion 2, Admiral Sonlt 3. Scratched: Valentine, Ef ‘Gallo, Ormoloid. Won by three lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 2.49.
Dominion Handicap, of IHOsovs., five furlongs.—Glenroy 1, Gold Necklet 2, Kauri King 3. Scratched: Lady Middleton and Carbiness. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.1 4-5. Nursery Handicap, of 12550v5., six furlongs.—Glissando 1, Tajmahal 2, Colonade 3. All started. Won by a head! Time, 1.16. Autumn Handicap, of 300sovs., one mile and a furlong.—Tinopai 1, Goldsize 2, Waioreaw 3. Scratched: King Lupin, Mullingar, Salvia. Won by three parts of a length. Time, 1.54 3-5. Mount Eden Handicap, of 200sovs., about three miles.—Golden .Glow 1, Vestal 2, Nat Lupin 3. All started. Won by one and a-half lengths. Time, 6.7 2-5.
