THE WAR IN PALESTINE. CRUISER DESTROYS IMPORTANT RAILWAY BRIDGE. United Press Association. (Received 9.-15 a.m.) Paris, April 10. Official.—A French cruiser yesterday destroyed the railway bridge connecting Acre with the interior on the Syrian railway system. (Acre is a seaport and is the capital of Syria, being the key of Palestine. It is famous for its many sieges during tbo time of the Crusades and the unsuccessful attempt by Napoleon in 1799.
