OH URA SETTLERS’ WANTS

Pkb Pkkbb Association. Xkt. -Wellington, April 15. A deputation from the Olmra county councillors and settlers was introduced to the Ministers of Finance and Public Works to-day by Mr W. T. .TenInings, M.P. The chairman of the 'county council, Mr Lyon, brought loi'ward matters in connection with the Waitewhenua road loan, Hapuiua, Waikaka, Matiere, Mirohinao, and Otanginao-Mangapapa roads. 'i he Ministers promised full consideration of the requests. Mr Jennings brought under their notice the position of the Pomeraiigi road, in the Kawhia district, and the position ot the Okakukura tunnels. .Sateisfactory replies were given in connection, with these matters. Mr Ronayne, Olmra county councillor, thanked the Ministers for the sympathetic replies given to the •deputation’s requests.
