Mr Malcolu Ross, New Zealand’s official correspondent to act with the expeditionary force on active service, left Sydney for London by the Morea yesterday. The Hon. Mr Holman (Premier of New South Wales), iu regretting that Mr Massey would be unable to attend the Premier’s Conference, said ho hoped that even at the eleventh hour one of the Dominion Ministers would be able to attend. Changes in the Salvation Army’s New Zealand staff officers are announced as follow :—Brigadier Carmichael is to succeed Brigadier Vince in command of Auckland division. Brigadier Carmichael has had wide experience in Australia, and for the last three years has had charge of the Wellington division. Major Toomer, hitherto in charge of the Dunedin division, succeeds Brigadier Carmichael in Wellington. Major Colvin, formerly editor of the War Cry, .fills the vacancy in the Dunedin command. Adjutants Haywood and Wellington, of the young people’s branch of the Army’s work, are also to be transferred from Wellington, but their new stations are not announced.
