PERSONAL.
The Hon. \Y. V. amssey is unable, owing to approaching session, to atttuid the Conference of Australasian Premiers. Mr W. Dibble, of the Department of Agriculture, lias been visiting Stratford inspecting the co-operative plot/ in this district.
.Mr R. Masters, vice-president of the Stratford Football Club, has donated a gold medal to tlie senior showing most improvement during the season.
| (ji'. X. .]. King, in a letter to tlio Mayor, after apologising lor his absence from the meeting of the Council last evening, wrote: —“As this is the last meeting of the old Council, and' as it is not my intention- to seek re-election, 1 would like to express my thanks and appreciation of the kindness and courtesy that has always keen extended to me by yourself and the Councillors. 1 trust that the new Mayor and Councillors will have a successful term ot office, and that each and every one will do his level best for the advancement of the town. Though ■retiring from the Council, I shall,still take,a lively interest in Ihe affairs of the Borough.’’
