WEDDING BELLS.
FLETCHER—READER. At Holy Trinity Clinch, Stratford, on Thursday, April Bth, a quiet hut pretty wedding was solemnised by the Rev. C. Howard,' the contracting parties being Mr Hugh Campbell Fletcher, of the State Audit Department, Auckland, to Miss Laura Reader, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Thos. Reader, of Stratfod. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in cream charmeuse with dainty overdess of chiffon and shadow lace, relieved with touches of palest [pink on train and corsage. She wore the customary veil and orange blossoms and carried a handsome boquet of clematis, roses, sweet peas and free/ias, artistically intermingled with maiden-hair fern and asparagus. The Wedding March was beautifully played by Miss Middleton. After the ceremony the. relatives of the bride and bridegroom were entertained at “Te Onepoto,” the residence of the bride’s parents, where the happy couple received many congratulations and numerous, costly, and handsome’presents. The festivities over, Mr and Mrs Fletcher departed by motor amidst showers of rice and confetti. The bride travelled in a smart Parisian costume ot brown silk poplin and hat to match, trimmed with fur and flowers.
