Extensive robberies from the private mail boxes of the general post oflieo have been reported. Apparently the boxes were burgled from the inside. Twelve firms letters were stolen in onoj day. Detectives are inquiring into the matter. THE ’FRISCO MAIL. Sydney, April 11. Mr Nielson, Trade Commissioner m America, placed a proposal for improvement of the Sun Francisco mail service before the Government, reducing the journey to Sydney by four days, ft is stated that one company' had offered to build two twenty-knot vessels for the service. LOYALTY OF LABOR. Sydney, April 11. Air Holman stated that he was extremely gratified at the loyalty to the Government which was evidenced at the Labor Conference. NEW ZEALAND BUTTER. Melbourne, April 11. It is stated that a small quantity of New Zealand butter has been purchased and will arrive in a fortnight. There is great difficulty in obtaining further supplies . WORK OF FEDERAL SESSION. .Melbourne, April 11. At the opening of the Federal session on Wednesday, several important measures will be considered, including a hill dealing with enemy contracts, and a Bill amending the Naturalisation Act. Mr Fisher stated that he was again submitting tlie six referendum Bills rejected by the people in 1913. QUEENSLAND BUTTER UP TO 150 s Brisbane, April 12.
