THE POLICY OF HATE. United Pbess Association. London, April 8. A neutral correspondent says that many people in Germany honestly believe that there is forming a gull between France and England, and that it is not unlikely that France will «oon conclude peace and turn against Britain. The hulk of the Germans are getting so fascinated with this glorious hope that they almost 'ove France, but words utterly fail to express the bitterness of their hatred of England, which is deeply rooted in the national mind. The mere mention of Britain is enough to throw any man into, a frenzy. The hatred is almost sublime in its intensity and extent, but often ridiculous. On entering a house in Cologne he heard a four-year-old child teaching a parrot to say "Gott punish England." The mother said the little girl had promised her father, who had gone to the front, always to hate England, and never to speak to an Englishman. Children throughout Germany were taught in various ways to hate England.
