An officer, writing to the "Cologne Gazette," furnishes an example of the colored reports which are being circulated in Germany. He declares that he was commanding the fort at Hamidieh,- and the gunners quickly sank the Bouvet (French warship), Irresistible and Ocean (British warships), when they came within range. Xearly all the attacking ships were damaged, and the fort was promptly repaired.
