A large and novel bill-01-lare of grand cinema subjects ' o presented 7iiis evening. “The Adventures ol Miss tomboy” it a two-reel comedy with ,olm Bunny in the loading part, Ihe >i.niggle ' ior tl:o Vser, taken under vueil lire by Cinema war photographer,., is shown in Bathe’s War Gazette; also King Albert and President Poincare inspecting troops at Fumes, the famous London Scottish, and the Australasian contingent. “In Dangers Hour” is a pretty story oi a laithlul canine. “The New York Police Carnival’’ is a remarkable picture event, showing this department in all classes of work and play. Other fine pictures are; “When Men Wear Skirts” (comedy), and “The Chief ol Police” (drama). “CHARLEY’S AUNT.” Tuesday night will sec “Charley’s Aunt” once more in our midst, and playgoers "ill be delighted at the chance of renewing their acquaintance with the cute old lady. Oi this comedy little need be said, as it is known in every quarter of the globe as one nl tin* most humorous comedies ever written. “Charley’s Aunt” was in the heyday of popular favor when present playgoers were schoolchildren, but though time deals harshly with most plays, the delightful humor of the evergreen “Charley’s Aunt” is as piquant and sponteaneous as when Charley's celebrated relative found herself to bo such a mirth-provoking personality before the footlights, The iady herself is an elderly maiden, and in common with the nuts, she is alleged to hail from Brazil. Speaking of the Wellington production, the press says. “Charley’s Aunt” was produced at the Grand Opera House last night, md produced remarkably well. The piece went with a shriek Horn the first, and the audience, which was packed, in every part of the house, was treated exceptionally well. I ncludod in the cast is Mr George Burnette, who toured this country with the “Squaw Alan”; also Air hrederic Hughes, who came out from Home with. Lewis Waller, and has recently been playing through New Zealand with the Hugh Buckler Co. Air Norman Aitken will play the title role. The bix plan opens at Grubb’s music warehouse.
