Three rinks from the Stratford Bowling Club played yesterday at Hawera, where they were the guests of the president of the Hawera Howling Club (Mr Parkinson), and a very enjoyable day was spent. Play was continued in the afternoon, the scores being : McDonald's rink 15, v. Rudkin, Burred, Henderson, flollard. 27. Sharp's rink 32, v. Rates, Wilks, A. Robertson, Parkinson, 31. Smart's rink 32, v. Hodge, Graham, Maslin, Grant, 27. For the coveted position of champion of the Stratford Club, .Messrs W. McDonald, G. Smart, and R. MfK. Morison play off after tieing for the second time.
