TURKS BOMBARDED BY WARSHIPS. United Press Association. , Paris,.April 2. A communique states that the cruiser Dessaix destroyed a Turkish fort in the Gulf of Akaha. Tlie Dent re Cisteanx, when passing Ghizeh, was attacked from the shores, and retaliated by bombarding the town and Turkish troops. (Ghizeh is a town three miles southwest of Cairo, and on the Nile. It is the capital of the province of the same name. Near Ghizeh are the pyramids of Khafra, Khufu. Men-ka-ra, and also the sphinx. The town contains a museum of Egyptian antiquities. Population about 12,000.
