“DOWN WITH THE WAR!”

United Press Association. (Received 8.20 a.m.) Rome, April 2. The Austrian people, tired of the privations and reverses, are agitating for the stopping of the war. There has been violent demonstrations in several cities, and in Vienna there were shouts of “Dowry with the war!” “Down with the Army,” “Down ■with the Generals!” Attempts to stone the War Office were made, and the police and troops charged, wounding several and arresting many. 1
