ENCOUNTER AT ZEEBRUCCE ALLIED AIRMEN BOMB SUBMARINE SQUADRON. United Press Association. Rotterdam, March 31. The Germans at Zeebrugge flow a captive baloon. Allied airmen attacked it, but batteries drove them off. Four Taubes pursued them, and an exciting encounter followed. One Taube fell on the dunes and two airmen were killed. The Allies later reconnoitered Zeebrugge, assisted by a British squadron. They bombarded a submarine squadron and drove armed trawlers into the harbor. ZEPPELINS RETURN FROM THE WEST. Copenhagen, March 31. Two Zeppelins passed St. Hier and Mongikoog on Tuesday, going westward. It is believed that they intended a raid on Britain, but a snowstorm rcompelled them to return. One is reported to have been seriously damaged. BOMBS AMONG THE SOLDIERS AND SUBMARINES. (Received 11.2 U a.m.) Amsterdam, March 31. Five aviators attacked Tgtegbem, near Thou rout, where a large concentration is proceeding, thirty soldiers being killed and sixty wounded. An aviator dropped five bombs on the dock near Bruges, where the submarines laid up. The result is unknown.
