FIRES.

TWO HOUSES BURNED. Pan Pr?sh Association. ' Wellington,. March 29. Two seven-roomed houses in Kilbirnie, owned by Monish and occupied by J. Goodwin and M. Nasmith, were destroyed by fire early this morning, the brigade having received no alarm half an hour after the outbreak. Mrs Godwin, in escaping from an upstairs window, broke her log. All the contents of both houses wore lost. Insurances on the buildings were £450 in the State Office. Godwin’s furniture was insured for £390 in the London and Lancashire Office. Nasmith was uninsured.
