Dr. Chaiijel'JrlacDoyald, of the United States' wjie lias/returned from Budapesth, reports that .'in the city' of Pest the houses ' of ; residents are absolutely rotten owing to the absence of sanitation. Thousands are uncared for, and typhoid and cholera are rampant, the Austrian soldiers living like vermin. The wounded reach the hospitals in an unspeakable condition, there being seventy institutions for maimed soldiers in Budapesth alone. ' :
