BIG PRICES AT PAHIATUA. Pahiatua, March 25. J Record dispersal sales' were held here to-day. Sheep fetched hig prices, and cattle also suld extremely well. Quotations :—BOO I and (5 tooth ewes .'iris,, 320 2 tooth ewes 255, 280 2 tooth wethers 20s Bd, 60 ewe lambs 14s lOd, 230 4 tooth ewes 2-ls 7d, 250 1 and 5 year ewes 225. LONDON WOOL SALES. i The Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 23rd instant ; London Wool Sales.—There is good competition. As compared with last sales' closing rates, faulty merino is 7-i per cent lower, greasy crossbred is •5 to 7i per cent higher; prices for slipe and scoured are in favour of sellers. The Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 24th instant: —Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions : Pine mutton 40s 3d per cwt; good beef, 38s Od ; mixed, 36s .*sd. There is a' little more demand.
