German-Americans involved in a gigantic plot to send contraband to Germany through an agent at Copenhagen succeeded so far that several consignments of ammunition and foodstuffs were sent via Holland, Sweden, and Denmark, despite the blockade. America has protested to Germany, through the Hague, against bombdropping near relief ships bound for Belgium. A HUGE VOTE. . London, March 25. Mr R. Newton Crane, chairman of the American Navy League, speaking at the National Liberal Club, referred to the tremendous power of the German-Austrian vote in the United States. The more he considered it the more he wondered that there had been so lew complaints from Americans regarding Britain's blockade policy.
