W- Saunders cfXioted interesting statistics as to the processed religion of the combatants in the great Avar. The war in Europe, h.e said, was being waged by some 300,000,000 Christian people. Of these 120,000,000 Avere members of the Roman Catholic Church, 90,000,000 Avere members of the great Eastern or Greek Church, and were members of the Christian Protestant Church. Looking at the divided, camps avo found that there Avere aboait 60,000,000 Roman Catholics on, one side and 60,000,000 on the other, and 60,000,000 Protestants on one side against 40.000. on the other. The Greek Church had 80,000,000 ton the side of the Allies and 4,000,000 on the other side. Roman Catholics, /members of the Greek Church, and Protestants Avere all naming the name of Jesus and acknoAvledging the same Bible, and yet all their resources Avero being expended to-day in an effort to destroy one another. The trouble Avas that of these 300.000. probably 200,000,000 were only nomimil Christians, and did not Avorship Christ in sincerity and truth. Mr Saunders Avent on to make a plea for more real spiritual religion.
