THE WOUNDED CRY FOR HELP. URGENT APPEAL FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. United Press Association. » London, March 19. Captain-Bennetts, Red Cross C ommissioner in Servia, sends an urgent appeal for help. He describes U .luib as a. valley of the dead. There is horrible .overcrowdinging in the hospitals. Six doctors and twelve orderlies, without nurses, are attempting to axtenl to 1800 sick and wounded. Half the doctors and orderlies are same dead or stricken down, ami the patients are dying of septic poisoning, became their wounds are undressed. Scores of doctors and fever nurses are wanted. The Servians are doing their best .for the priso n rs , but out of 750 in one camp only twenty-five are able to stand and sixty are dying daily. There is nobody to remove the dead. When a stranger enters the rilerce of the camp is broken by moans, “For the love of God, give ns water!” or “For God’s sake, give us bread!”
