Our next Stratford sale will be held on 23rd -March. On Tuesday we held our usual monthly sale of wool, skins, hides, etc., when we had a fair catalogue of 121 packages of wool and 296 hides, skins, etc., all farmers' lines. There was a fair attendance of buyers, and competition was particularly keen, most lines, excepting hides, advancing in value, and are now in comparity with London values. Notwithstanding the fact that most of the wool showed seed, we managed to plaoe some nice lambs' wool at Is lid. If farmers could see their way to support these local sales to a greater extent, it would be a great advantage to the district. Most of the wool contained seed and biddy j biddy, which particularly detracts from its value this year owing to the Belgian manufacturers being affected j by the war, and owing also to the fact, that English manufacturers, up to the present, have not taken readily to this class of, wool. However, from private advices recently we understand that several carbonising plants have been erected in England and will be in operation during the coming season, so growers of this class of wool will, in the near future, receive more consideration and receive better prices for their wool. Lambs wool (very biddy biddy) was passed at 6 dto fyd, medium to lid, good fleece and lambs wool realised lid to Is OJd, no really tip top lines offered, pieces (small) 6*d to 6|d, dead wool 9fd to lod, black 9£d, crutchings from 7£d to Bjfd, dingy lambs and seedy 9ijd. Sheepskins : Pelts (small with little wool) Is 2d, good spread (little wool) 2s lid to 3s Id, crossbred (torn and dead) 2s 4d, | crossbred (fair woolled) 9s 4d to 12s,

Our next wool, hide and sheepskin sale will be held on Tuesday, 13th April.
