FIRES
BLAZE AT A PICTURE SHOW.
Per Press Association. Auckland, March 12
A lire broke out in the operating box of the Queen’s Theatre this afternoon. Some of the more timid people in the audience made an immediate rush for the doors. The operator, George Dyer, tried to bring the patent fire extinguisher into operation, but his attempt was without avail. Help arrived, and the damage by lire was confined to the operating room.
