A UNION CANCELLED. Per Press 'Association. Sydney, March 11. The Industrial Court granted an implication on behalf of a number of theatre proprietors cancelling the registration of the Musicians’ Union of Australia. Amongst the grounds of the application it was urged that the Association bad instigated members to strike; that it had passed a resolution against accepting the rates fixed by the Wages Board; and consistently broken all its industrial agreements.

In the Rotorua Magistrate's Court lu-da- Allred Robert Curtis, who escaped from Kaiugaroa prison samp and was recaptured on Thursday, was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment, to follow a two years’ previous 'sentence, pud to be followed by five years’ reformative treatment to which he was sentenced in the Supreme Court.
