NAPIER PARK MEETING. (Notes by Cicero.) The Napier Park Racing Club has received fair acceptances for their autumn meeting, which opens to-mor-row. Four only accepted for the Hack Hurdles, Sir Donald (11.13) has plenty of weight, but will be opposed by a poor lot. In contrast, no less than seventeen figure in the next event, the Esk Handicap, and of them Ruamanmvhiri and Hymen should run well forward. Klcven really good handicap horses appear in the Napier Cup. Fair llosaiuotid was supported for. a lot of money at Wanganui, but did not do herself justice. However, she may do better to-monW. Indigo, although defeated, ran a good race, in the Wanganui Cup, and actually ran the distance under the existing record. On this performance he is worthy of respect. Jtewi Poto is greatly fancied in some quarters, and must ho in the fighting line. Pair Rosamond, Indigo, and Rewi Poto should provide a capital contest.

The majority of those nominated for the trial Handicap are unknown. Black Hart ran two excellent races at Wanganui, and is evidently a fair sort. On Dannevirke running, Blackall is nicely handicapped for the Welter Handicap, but will possibly have to do his best, if Kaminohe is well. Gold "Foil should see a very short price in the Sapling Stakes, as the opposition appears very weak. \ moderate lot are engaged in the Redcliffe Handicap. On form Perhaps and Discussion should divide favouritism. The acceptance for the Flying Handicap is decidedly disappointing. The appearance of Croseus in the list has evidently made owners timid. On performances one cannot pick anything to beat him. Some may support BusheOn in case the unexpected happens.
