Sir George Reid lias cabled that he selected Mr Harry Gullett as Commonwealth representative to join the parties of war correspondents now allowed to the front on six days' tours. Arrangements are being made for the distribution of the news in the Commonwealth.

ALL TASMANIA'S SHIPPING SPACE COMMANDEERED.

The Secretary of State for the Colonies cabled to the Government that the Imperial Government had taken all the shipping sspace except that taken over by the Commonwealth. Lord [nchcape states that he expects the Imperial authorities will interfere as little as possible with the regular fruit trade, but the congestion in the moat trade must be rolieved.
MILLERS IN WEST AUSTRALIA TO CEASE CRISTINC. (Received 10.15 a.m.) Perth, March 11. The foodstuffs Hoard has ordered the millers to eease gristing and hand over all wheat owing to the shortage of seed.
