A coach proprietor at Okahukura named Tom Moore was charged at Taumaruuui before Mr A. S. Laird, J.P., with assault intended to cause grovious bodily harm. A man called Boyle, alleged to have been the assaulted person, is in the local hospital. At the request of the police the case was adjourned. Accused was admitted to bail in two sureties of dCl' l " each, and himself in a £2OO surely. The doctor says Boyle will be uno-blo to leave the Tauinarunui hospital for a fortnight.
