SERIOUS SHORTAGE OF CEREALS

Buda Pesth states that there is an appalling scarcity of cereals in Hungary, where 140 restaurants have been closed owing to the scarcity of bread. The newspapers are featuring the declaration by a Hungarian general that Austria cannot carry on the war beyond May, because of the shortage of food and war materials.
