Cardiff's contributions front the commencement of the war to data have been. £306 ss. of which £llO 2s 6n was handed to the Stratford Patriotic Committee. The balance has been forwarded direct to the Belgian ViceConsul in Wellington for .Belgian Relief.
At Newton King's Pohokura sheep sale yesterday the sum of £8 10s was realised for the Stratford Belgian Fund through the generosity of Mr G. W. Calvert in presenting a sheep for auction. Mr R. Cottier spiritedly wielded the hammer throughout. The first purchaser was V. H. Nolan, who secured the sheep at the modest sum of os. and put it up again. .Succeeding buyers and vendors worj: R.
