SILENCING TURKISH FORTS.

The Allied fleet continued thy bombardment of the inner forts ui the Dardanelles on Saturday afteilioon. blowing up a powder magaz- ie at Mechou. Many were killed or wounded. The fleet in the evening penetrated to Carophomia lighthouse near the Forts Hedel Bahr and Thanakale. The forts on the European side wme silen ced/ The Allies landed artilhwy nea ■ by and destroyed the forts, where the Anglo-French flags are now flying.
