FRENCH PROGRESS REPORT. United Press Association. Paris, March 1. Official: Marked progress has been made oh the Combie.Perthes front. We progressed in all the woods between Perthes and Boausejour, capturing over • ?000 metres of trendies. North of Beausejour 200 dead Germans were found in one trench. We captured 300 metres of trenches west of Bnnrevilles. A brilliant infancy attack reached the edge of tne plateau at Bouquois.
EFFECTIVE FRENCH ARTILLERY

The “Echo de Paris” sfates that French artillery caused immense destruction on the Souain-Perthes-Beau-sejour front. The enemy in counterattacking in heavy massed formation suffered prodigious losses . The majority of prisoners were Saxons, many of whom were 19 and 20 years of age, and. the others were Landsturmers.
