At Waiwakaiho on Friday, 12th iust., I had a good entry of cattle of mixfed classes,' the condition in most cases being poor. At Toko on Monday, 15th inst., at my Toko yards, I had a good entry, all of which I was able to place as follows: —Small weaner steers £1 5s Gd. fat cows £7 lls to £B-3s, good forward cows £5 6s Jo £6 19s, light framed store cows £2 2s to £2 ss, good store cows £3 14s to £4 17s, bulls £6 to £8 10s, 18 month heifers £2 to £3 7s, lambs 4 S 6d to 8s 6d, T aged ewes 7s Gd.

On the same day at for ,my annual sheep .fair, I had a>-smaller •entry than usual, but with a fair attendance, of buyers, whp cleared most of the yarding. Lambs (woolly) 12s 3d to 12s 7d, 4 tooth to f.m. ewes 14s ■to 155,, mixed ege ewes 12s Gd to 13s Gd, f.m. ewes from 9s to 12s Gd, rams ,11 to 3gns., aged rams 12s and 12s Gd.

Oh Tuesday, 16th inst. 1 , at my Stratford yards for my fortnightly cattle sale amh annual' sheep fair, I had a full yarding, both classes coming forward much in excess of advertised numbers. Bidding throughout was good, a satisfactory /clearance being made during the day. * Some good lambs 1 off* rape were yarded, but vendors’ reserves were beyond buyers limits.' Full mouthed owes were selling radily, as also were the few pens of 2 tooth wethers that were yarded. (Cattle throughout made full market rates. At.Awakino on Thursday, 18th inst, for my annual sheep and cattle fair J had a record entry of cattle with r. full yarding of sheep, the yards being over-filled; Cattle having to be sold in the adjoining paddocks. Buyers were present in good-numbers from all parts of Taranaki and Waikato, and made good competition-for all lines offered The condition of scuttle was excellent, being very favorably commented upon especially so by buyers from othei parts of the province.
