The Fire Brigade competitions were completed yesterday in line weather, with a fair attendance of onlookers. Results: —
Five Men.—Carterton 1, Timaru 2, Hastings -‘l, Hillside Railway -1- Twenty teams competed.
Hose, Hydrant' and Union, five men Mornington 1, Hillside Railway 2, Hastings 3, St. Kilda 4. Twenty-nine competed. Consolation. —Waihi 1, Tanmarunui 2. Newmarket Railway 3, Geraldine and Dargaville (equal,(3, Twentyseven competed.
THE POINTS
The points for the chief prizes are
Championship and High Pressure Shield.—Timaru 59, Hillside Railway 38. Carterton 32, Hastings 26. Dunedin South 23, St. Kilda 22, Hawera 19, Mornington 17, Napier 10, Timaru Railway 8, Spit 8, Tanmarunui 8, Caver sham 5. Gore 3, Waitara 3, Dargaville 2. Palmerston North 2. Manual Shield.—Timaru 35, Hastings 16, Dunedin South 12, Spit 12, St."Kilda 10, Napier 10, Christchurch Railway 8, Hawera 8, Hokitika 5, Taihape 5, Hamilton 4, Geraldine 4, Gore 3, Waitara 3, Palnierston 1, Devonport 1, Mornington 1.
