Matarawa Hack Handicap, of 120 sovs., six furlongs.—Goldstream 1, Black Heart 2, Bivouac 3. All started. Won by three lengths, two lengths between second and third.* Time,' Imin 15sec.
The Jackson Stakes, of 500soys,,,six furlongs.—Emperador 1, Flying Start 2, Bimeter 3. Also- started : Dinner Gong. The-'latter-was left at the p&st and took no part in the race. Flying Start led to the straight, where* Bmperador got up and won by & length, six lengths between second and third. Time, Imin 14'4-ssec.
Fordcll Hurdles, of 175 sovs, mij<> and three-quarters—Flingot 1, Styrax 2, Kew 3. Also ran ; Leapuki, Glen, orchy. Won by a neck, 'two lengths between second and third. Time 3min, 15 l-ssec.
I Okoia Hack Hurdles, of 120sovs., about 1 mile and five furlongs.—Tirehanga 1, Naupata 2, Master Strowan 3. St. Gate also started. Tliere was a great finish between the placed horses, decks separating them. Tinie, 3min 3 3-ssec.
