FIRE BRIGADE CONGRESS.
THE ACCIDENT ASSOCIATION. Per Press Association. Timaru, February 2'!. j The Fire Brigade delegates this morning dealt with the business of the Accident Assurance Association. The number of brigades now affiliated is 90, with 1583 members, a decrease of MG. Since the close of the year three other brigades have joined. Revenue for the year was £129 Ids 3d, a decrease of £l4. Total payments for accidents were £215 12s 6d, and theaccumulated funds £I9GG, an increase of £lB odd. The executive recommended the same scale of rebates as last year. Officers were elected as follow: President, Air Urklieh (Gisborne); vice-presidents, Messrs C. Goodwin (Akaron) and T. G. Grubb (Stratford); secretary, Air Watts; treasurer, Mr Osborne; auditor. Air Fraser. In the afternoon the firemen held sports on the bay, and a party visited the Timaru reservoir. The next conference will be held at Westport.
