NEW ZEALANDERS AMONG THE
KILLED.
Wellington, February 24
A message was received in Nelson last week by relatives that Mr Woolcombe ,his wife, and a. mechanic of the Eastern Cable Co’s, staff at Singapore had been killed. No particulars were allowed to transpire as. to how they lost their lives, but in, the light of to-day’s cable re the rioting at Singapore, it is possible it was in the riot there. Mr WoOlcombo was an old Nelson boy, and only a few months ago married Miss Michie, daughter of a former Dunedin manager of the Bank of New Zealand. These particulars are now’ published by permission of the censorship.
