Mutton. No supplies of Canterbury on hand; North-Island 5 13-16 d for best quality;> ewes sgd. Lambs.—No supplies of Canterbury on haild; other than Canterbury 7^d.

Beef.—Hindquarters 6Jd; forequarters 6d.

Chilled Beef.—A limited supply of hind-quarters 7|d; fore-quarters Butter.—The market is quiet and at a decline. Danish 132 sto 1365; New Zealand 128 sto 1325; Australian 126 s to 130 s; Siberian: 15,000 casks are expected from Vladivostock during next week. Argentine: no arrivals.

Cheese.—The market is steady a.t a decline. The Canadian supply is running short, white colored 89s to 925; New Zealand white and • colored 86s to 88s. A quantity of United States cheese is on the market at 84s to 86s. Australian cheese continues to arrive, but the Essex cargo is not available.

Hemp.—The, market is firm. It advanced suddenly owing to the difficulty regarding tonnage. Light shipments of hemp are expected from Penang. New Zealand grade .£29; fair-current' Manilla £35; forward shipment New Zealand good-fair grade £3l 10s ;‘fair grade £29 10s; fair-cur-rent Manilla £35. The output from Manilla for the week was 28,000 bales. Wool.—The market is strong.

Wheat.—The market has’been very erratic during the last week, and prices fluctuated from 62s to 655. There is fair trade doing. Holders are firm, and there are plenty of jbuyers, Canadiian 655; Americain 655; any position Argentine 65s February-March shipment.
