HUTT MOTOR SMASH.

DRIVER LOST HIS NERVE. Per Press Association. Wellington, February 19. A rather sensational motor smash occurred on the Hutt road this evening. A car was travelling at a great rate, and met four cyclists near the Hutt bridge. The latter became flustered, and spreadeagled across the road. The driver lost control of the car, which swerved, and collided violently with one cyclist, knocking him forcibly against the side of a shop, and rendering him unconscious. The ear dashed into a fence, turned a, somersault, and landed on the other | side in a vacant .section. The driver was„pinned to the ground by the steering gear, and stunned, the four occupnnts being thrown clear on to the soft soil, but all were bruised, and j are suffering from shock. ;
